Color Me Patriotic

October 16, 2009

In my first blog post I was inspired by a trip to Cape Cod to create a patriotic themed design… well here it is!!

I started with this incredible fabric from Quadrille.

Which I think would be incredible on a pair of camelback sofas.

I would paper the room with this striped wallpaper from Scalamandre.

Another great find from Quadrille was this greek key inspired woven which I would use on a pair of wingback chairs.

Add in a few occasional pieces and accessories.

And finally I would upholster these Klismos inspired slipper chairs in this delicious Manuel Canovas woven silk stripe

All the trim would be in an eye-popping white and I would cover the windows in a simple white sheer with a greek key border in red. Here is a look at all the fabrics together.

This design is perfect for a room that has really large windows and lots of natural light.  Viva La Revolucion!
